Hudson Valley Humid (and EZ Cold Pea Soup)
Last week’s weather was the proverbial pea soup, featuring heavy Hudson Valley humidity and crashing thunderstorms daily. While we humans wilted and ran for cover, our gardens reveled in the heat and the rain. Pole beans, cukes, gourds and morning glory seeds finally sown on Saturday, June 22nd, miraculously germinated by Monday, June 24th, poking out of the soil like little fists.
