Damon Paul Perpetua

Damon Paul Perpetua, age 87, a 60-year resident of Cold Spring, died on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at NY Harbor Health Care System, VA Campus in  New York City.

Born September 13, 1924 in Beacon, he was the son of the late Samuel and Margaret (Victor) Perpetua. He was the widower of the late Katherine (Vitanza) Perpetua who predeceased him in 1996. 

Mr.  Perpetua was a retired laborer with Local # 235 in Elmsford. He was a Parishioner of Our Lady of Loretto Church, a 50-year member of the Cold Spring Fire Company No. 1, a member of the Nelsonville Fish and Fur Club, and a member of Beacon Lodge # 1493 B.P.O. Elks.

Survivors include one daughter, Kathi A. (Mike) Savastano and daughter-in-law Margaret Perpetua all of Cold Spring; and one brother, Anthony J. Perpetua of Beacon. Seven grandchildren, Dana, Damon, Matthew, Christine, Andrew, Michael, Kristopher, and one great grandchild Damon also survive. 

Predeceasing him were one son, Damon C. Perpetua; two brothers Carmen M. and Patrick J. Perpetua; and two sisters, Susan Fitzgerald and Mary Ann Perpetua.

A mass of Christian burial will take place 10 a.m., Wednesday,  January 4, 2012 at Our lady of Loretto Church 24 Fair Street Cold Spring, NY 10516. Interment will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery. 

Friends are invited to call at the Clinton Funeral Home Corner of Parrott & Pine Streets (21 Parrott Street) Cold Spring on Tuesday, January 3, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Perpetua’s name may be made to The American Heart Association 1 Union Street, Suite 301 Robbinsville, NJ 08691.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Clinton Funeral Home Cold Spring.
