Tail Waggin’ Tutors at the Desmond-Fish Library
Beginning on Thursday, April 14 from 4 to 6 pm, children will have the opportunity to read to a trained therapy dog at the Desmond-Fish Library in Garrison. Children reading to dogs is more than just fun. Trained therapy dogs and their handlers can help improve children’s literacy skills. At ease with dogs, who do not criticize mispronounced words, children read enthusiastically.
