Pearl C. Tompkins

Pearl C. Tompkins, age 87, a lifelong resident of Cold Spring and Nelsonville , died on October 18, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie.  Born in Cold Spring on March 5, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Clara May (Baker) Barger.
Mrs. Tompkins was a homemaker and a life member of Cold Spring United Methodist Church in Cold Spring, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. In later years she was a member of the Philipstown Senior Citizens. 
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Carlyle W. “Carl” Tompkins, of the home address; one son, William B. (Martha) Tompkins, of Scodack, NY; one daughter, Karen Donnelly, of Highland; ten grandchildren Ian, Neal Campbell, Jay, Karli Mattice, Erich, Karla, Daniel, Gregory, Carl Tompkins and Stacey Johnson; five great grandchildren Gavin, Sadie Campbell, Khalique, Dante Johnson, and Logan Morse.
Pre-deceasing her were two sisters, Bertha Baxter and Elizabeth M. Christian; and one brother, Walter Barger.
Services will take place at Cold Spring United Methodist Church, at 216 Main Street Cold Spring, at 11am on Friday, October 22. The Reverend Margaret Laemmel will officiate. Interment will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the Clinton Funeral Home, Corner of Parrott & Pine Streets (21 Parrott Street), Cold Spring, on Thursday, October 21, from 5pm to 8pm.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Clinton Funeral Home, Cold Spring, NY.
