Additional Birds Found In Putnam Test Positive For West Nile Total number of positive birds now 11
The Putnam County Health Department received notification last Friday, October 6th, from the New York State Department of Health that two additional craws from Putnam County have tested positive for West Nile virus. Both birds were found in the Mahopac area in the town of Carmel. This brings the total number of positive birds found in Putnam to eleven. To date, them have been no positive mosquito or human cases of West Nile virus in Putnam County.
