Angela C. Guido
Angela Guido died at the Jewish Home and Hospital on October 14, 2001 after a long illness. The Funeral was held from the Sweet Funeral Home in Hyde Park, NY on Tuesday, October 16. A Funeral Mass was held from Our Lady of Loretto Church in Cold Spring with entombment at Ferncliff Mausoleum in Hartsdale, NY.
Born in the Bronx on September12, 1908, Angela was the daughter of the late Nichola and Maria Borelli Parrotta. She married the late John A. Guido on August 28, 1927 at the Immaculate Conception Church in the Bronx where she was a charter member of The St. Ann’s Guild. The couple renewed vows at the St. Lawrence Seminary in September of 1960. Mr. Guido died in 1963.
Angela was a crochet beadier for many years in New York City. In August of 1953 she moved to Cold Spring and was employed at Sonotone until her retirement in 1970. She attended Our Lady of Loretto Church and was a member of the Catholic Daughter of Court Rita in Cold Spring. Mrs. Guido traveled extensively during retirement. She moved to Beacon in 1975 and resided with family.
Angela Guido is predeceased by five sisters and two grandsons. She is survived by three children: a son, Patrick Guido and two daughters, Paula Thorpe and Barbara Esposito with whom she resided prior to entering the nursing home. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
