Brewster Public Library Hosts Artist And Book Sale
As part of the Brewster Project being held in the Village of Brewster on July 28 and 29, the Brewster Public Library will be hosting contemporary artist Amy Eshoo from New York City. Ms. Eshoo will set up her video camera on the front lawn of the library at 79 Main Street and ask people to share a memory with her. The library will be the backdrop where these private words will be communicated publicly. The library is a site of learning, of knowledge, of communication, of dreams, memories and desires. Artist Amy Eshoo hopes to bridge the boundary of private words and public living. Inside the library, in the main reading room, the Brewster Public Library volunteers will hold a book sale. A large variety of items will be available for sale at discounted prices. The book sale will take place on Saturday from 10am to 5pm and 1 to 5pm on Sunday. Both events are free and open to the public. Please call the library at 845-279-6421 if you would like more information.
