Harriet Lyons Hustis

Harriet Lyons Hustis, age 81, a lifelong resident of Cold Spring, died on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at her home.

Born in Cold Spring, on October 23, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Carrie (Conley) Lyons.

Mrs. Hustis was a homemaker. She was a devoted member, Lay Leader, and Trustee of the United Methodist Church of Cold Spring. She was also Treasurer of the United Methodist Women.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Milton T. Hustis, Jr. of the home address. They were married on February 20, 1955 in the United Methodist Church of Cold Spring. She is also survived by her son and daughter in law, David and Pamela Lyons Hustis of Nelsonville; two brothers, Harold Lyons and David Lyons, both of Cold Spring; and two grandchildren, Alyssa and Christopher. She was predeceased by six brothers, Charles Nathan 'Widgie' Lyons, Frederick 'Fittie' Lyons, Francis 'Dick' Lyons, Clarence Wesley 'Winkie' Lyons, Wendall Lyons, and John 'Jack' Lyons; and one sister, Gloria 'Sissy'Trocheck.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, May 10 at The United Methodist Church of Cold Spring, followed by interment in Cold Spring Cemetery. Friends called at the Clinton Funeral Home, Cold Spring, on May 8 and 9. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Hustis' name to the United Methodist Church of Cold Spring.
