Haldane Hosts Homecoming Weekend

The Haldane school district invites the community to join students, families, friends and neighbors to celebrate its recently completed capital projects, including Haldane’s “Field of Dreams,” the brand-new, state-of-the-art athletic field. The field will be a valuable resource for both Haldane students and the local community for years to come.

Events are as follows:

Friday, October 4th

12:30 p.m. to 2:10 p.m. - Haldane’s Spirit Week culminates in a High School pep rally. K-8 students will join the celebration for team recognition.

4:30 p.m. - Home soccer game: Varsity Boys vs. Hendrick Hudson.

6:45 p.m. - Parade from Cold Spring Depot to the new field. School teams will be recognized on the field, to be followed by a bonfire. Concessions will be sold by The Haldane Football Association

7:45 p.m. - Tour of the new locker facilities and demonstration of new auditorium improvements with the showing of Pixar animated shorts. Families are invited to bring blankets and enjoy the show!

Saturday, October 5th

9:00 a.m. - Patti Pelican of Hudson Valley Hospital Center, and the Wellness Committee officially open the walking track to the community. Senior citizens are especially invited to participate in a fun walk around the track. Water bottles and free blood pressure readings will be available.

11:00 a.m. - Home soccer game: JV Girls vs. Putnam Valley.

3:00 p.m. - Homecoming football game vs. Yonkers Montessori Academy. Don’t miss Motherlode performing the National Anthem and the Senior Recognition ceremony prior to the game. Winning tickets for The Haldane Football Association’s 12th Man Raffle will be drawn at halftime.

4:00 p.m. (approximately): Half-Time Grand Celebration - We will recognize the many supporters of the recent capital projects: the new “field of dreams,” locker room renovation and auditorium upgrades.

7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. - Homecoming Dance in the District Auditorium/Small Gym.
