PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE October 14, 2013 The Village of Cold Spring Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 14, 2013 at 7:30 pm at Village Hall, 85 Main Street Cold Spring, NY for the purpose of hearing comment on a local law entitled : A Local Law to Amend Village Code Chapter 134 Zoning, by Amending Village Code Section 134-18, “Supplementary Regulations Applying to all Districts”, Section 134-2 (B), “Definitions”, and Sections 134-9(C)(2), 134-10(B)(1) and 134-11(B)(1). This local law will provide new and/or additional definitions of the terms “restaurant”; “retail business”; “formula restaurant”; “formula retail business” and “drive-in”, “drive-thru”, or “drive-in window”. The Local Law will also prohibit formula retail business uses, formula restaurants and “drive-in”, “drive-thru” or “drivein window” in all zoning districts. ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Putnam Valley Central School District will receive individual sealed bids before 2:00pm, on Wednesday October 23, 2013 for: Putnam Valley High School Concession Stand The Putnam Valley Central School District, Putnam Valley, NY will receive bids at the District Business Office,146 Peekskill Hollow Road, Putnam Valley, NY 10579, and at that time and place any and all such bids that have been received in accordance with the terms hereof will be publicly opened and read aloud. The District invites bidders to bid on the work described in the Bid Documents that falls within the following SINGLE PRIME CONTRACT: Bid Package Trade 1 General Construction – Foundations and Site Utilities 2 General Construction – Building Construction See the Bid Documents for a further description of the scope of work. Bidders must use the Bid Proposal Forms included with the Bid Documents in order to make their proposals, and each proposal must be made in accordance with those Forms. Bidders are urged to attend the pre-bid meeting. Knowledge of the site is crucial to obtain a proper understanding of the Work. Any proposals must be accompanied by a certified check payable to the Putnam Valley Central School District or by a Bid Bond for a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, conditioned as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. All bid security, except those of the three low bidders will be returned within four days after proposals are submitted. The bid security provided by the three low bidders will be returned after the execution of the Trade Contract. The District will require the successful bidder to provide separate Performance and Labor & Materials Payment Bonds in the amount of the contract price and in the form specified in the Bid Documents. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the District reserves the right to reject bids that contain omissions, exceptions or modifications, or in their sole discretion to waive such irregularities, or to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid which is in the best interest of the District. All laborers, workers and mechanics working on the site of this project must be certified as having successfully completed the OSHA 10-hour construction safety and health course.
